PRESENTATION TO EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

After months of planning, it was finally the day of Manor Court Care Garden Fete Saturday 8th August and the weather forecast had been excellent and we were not disappointed, a beautiful summer day brought out the crowds to enjoy the afternoon in glorious sunshine.

The normally tranquil lawn hidden away behind the building in Manor Court Road, was transformed with a row of gazebos and a variety of stalls selling plants, vegetables, Bric-á-brac, collectables, cakes and strawberries, several stalls had completely sold out by the end of the afternoon. Families of the home’s residents were out in force taking them around the Fete and enjoying the fine weather.

A large number of local people turned out in support the event including local Member of Parliament, Marcus Jones, also the Mayor of Nuneaton & Bedworth Councillor Barry Longden with his wife the Mayoress Joan. They enjoyed a brief tour of Manor Court’s facilities before joining everyone else in the garden. Thanks are due to everyone who helped including the Staff from the home, Rotary & Inner Wheel Clubs of Arbury, Hill Top Allotment Association and many others, who loaned equipment or donated goods. Most importantly the people of Nuneaton who supported the event on the day which raised over £700.00 for the Resident’s Welfare Fund which provides treats for the residents, trips out and entertainment.
